The Seasons Residences is a remarkable Japanese-inspired residential project that gracefully merges Japan’s legacy of innovation and excellence with the warmth and community spirit of Filipino hospitality. Nestled in BGC, it’s celebrated for the iconic MITSUKOSHI BGC on the Podium level. Rising above, the four towers of The Seasons Residences —Haru (Spring), Natsu (Summer), Aki (Autumn), and Fuyu (Winter)—capture the spirit of Japan’s seasons. This distinguished mixed-use development is the result of a visionary partnership between Federal Land, Nomura Real Estate Development Co., Ltd., and Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings Ltd., bringing an authentic taste of Japanese life and flavors to Manila.

Experience authentic Japanese-living in Manila and discover the Japanese flavors of MITSUKOSHI BGC:

One of the greatest perks of living here is having MITSUKOSHI BGC just an elevator ride away, providing residents with direct access to an authentic flavors of Japan right at their doorstep.

MITSUKOSHI FRESH: JAPANESE GROCERIES

MITSUKOSHI FRESH offers a multi-sensory “grocerant” experience, bringing authentic Japanese flavors to discerning shoppers. Discover a curated selection of rare ingredients and delicacies, from fresh produce and air-freighted frozen fish and sashimi to locally harvested oysters—both fresh and baked—as well as premium A5 Wagyu beef, imported directly from Japan.

One of the highlights at MITSUKOSHI Fresh is the mini-Tsukiji market-inspired display of fresh seafood, featuring air-flown fish directly from Toyosu Market. It’s as if you have a personal courier bringing these exquisite ingredients from Japan straight to your kitchen.

Yes, fresh sashimi slices of tuna in various fatty grades, as well as salmon, are available.

Best of all, you can enjoy delicious slices of Otoro—the richest, fattiest part of the tuna—right in the store at grocery prices, significantly lower than restaurant rates and with no additional service charge.

MITSUKOSHI FRESH also offers an exclusive selection of sakes, including unique options like Yuzu Sake or a Sparkling Sake, perfect for pairing with your sashimi.

GANGI JUNMAI NAMA-NIGORI FRESH SPARKLING 300ML (₱780).
Gangi’s Kassei Nigori is a sparkling sake that focuses on flavor. After repeated trials, it has just the right level of carbonation to prevent excessive overflow, even though it’s a sparkling sake.

UMENOYADO ARAGOSHI YUZUSHU 180ML (₱580.00)
This luxurious yuzu liqueur is made using carefully selected domestic yuzu juice from across Japan, blended with Umenoyado sake to create a refreshing, tangy flavor unique to yuzu.

One thing about this grocery you can geek out on the different types of artisanal soy sauce you would want with your sushi. The dashi soy sauce in the middle you can easily drink, but our favorite was the sweet and salty soy sauce (right most bottle).

Pro tip: Be sure to seek out Takato Ishimoto-san, the MITSUKOSHI Fresh guy for expert recos.

They also offer fresh Tayabas oysters, guaranteed to be clean and brimming with the distinct taste of the Tayabas sea.

New discovery: Hot Yuzu Sauce—a perfect match for oysters, seafood, or just about anything!

OHYAMA FOODS YUZU HOT SAUCE MARCY 100G (₱450.00)
Experience the aroma of yuzu and a bold, spicy kick. The vinegar’s tangy acidity adds a refreshing accent. Perfect for those seeking a stronger yuzu kosho (yuzu pepper) flavor.

For Yaki Imo lovers, Japanese roasted sweet potatoes are always available.

Make sure to check out the end aisle display of the curated products “All about Yummy in Japan” which presents the different food specialities of the different regions in Japan.

BIMMY DELUXE CHEESE BITE SCALLOP 5PCS (₱280.00)
The rich cheese is topped with scallops that have endured the cold and stored nutrients in the northernmost seas of Japan. We call this “luxury”.

BIMMY DELUXE CHEESE FILLING MENTAIKO SPICY FISH ROE 35G (₱280.00)
“Sweet and sour” Living in Japan, we sometimes seek to have contradictory tastes coexist in one food. We know that in certain situations (for instance, when we want to drink whiskey nice and slow), it can play the best supporting role.

THE MEAT KITCHEN @ MITSUKOSHI FRESH

Step into the meat section, and you’re greeted by the irresistible sound of sizzling from The Meat Kitchen’s grill. Here, an array of expertly prepared meats—from juicy beef and tender lamb to fresh fish and seafood—are served as skewers or in comforting rice bowls.

The best part about The Meat Kitchen is that you can select your preferred cut of beef and have it cooked for you to enjoy in-store—without any additional cooking or service charge.

Enhance your Robotayaki experience with a variety of skewered meats, such as Pork Kushiyaki (₱160 for 2 sticks) and Wagyu Cubes (₱200), perfectly paired with sake.

Indulge in Japanese A5 Wagyu Ribeye Steak for ₱1,220 per 100g, with guaranteed quality. You can even have it cooked to a perfect medium and enjoy it right in the store.

Perfectly grilled with a seared outer crust and a tender pink center, it’s best enjoyed with salt.

AUTHENTIC FLAVORS OF BASEMENT ONE

Itadaki Food Court. Your culinary journey begins at Itadaki Food Court, a vibrant showcase of gastronomic delights located on the basement floor. Inspired by the Japanese phrase “Itadakimasu,” which expresses gratitude before meals, this food court features all your favorite Japanese franchises: Mitsuyado Sei-men, Nadai Fujisoba, Tenya, Fukuhachi Takoyaki, and Saboten, ensuring your cravings are satisfied. Additionally, you’ll find a variety of Filipino and other international cuisines to explore.

Kaisendon. This is one of the authentic Japanese stores opening its Manila branch. Kaisendon specializes in seafood rice bowls, freshly prepared to order using seafood imported directly from Japan.

The rice is exceptionally flavorful on its own, and you can top it with your choice of seafood. We ordered the Salmon, Salmon Roe, and Tuna bowl (₱680), and a bowl of soba.

Ralph’s Wines and Spirits is the perfect place to stock up on your favorite alcoholic beverages, including sake for pairing with your meals. In particular, the Mio Sparkling Sake has become our favorite; it’s not only bubbly but also adds a delightful umami flavor—refreshing and satisfying in every sip.

They offer an extensive selection of sakes that were showcased during Sake Manila.

Cafe Dolci. You can also enjoy hot meals and freshly baked treats from Café Dolci, located beside MITSUKOSHI Fresh. We highly recommend the An Pan Red Bean (₱80 each), especially the Sakura version for a uniquely Japanese twist on this classic bread.

Tokyo Delights. For dessert, head to the Manila branch of Tokyo Delights, where you can enjoy their signature mochi ice cream and mochi cream specialties. However, our favorite is the Montblanc paired with Hokkaido soft serve ice cream—a delightful way to end your meal on a sweet note.

Funwari Murasaki Mont Blanc (₱358)
Soft Serve, Mont Blanc Paste, Sliced Almond, Crushed Pistachio

Murasaki No Hume Mont Blanc (₱398)
Soft Serve, Mont Blanc Paste, Caramel Syrup, Crushed Graham, Bits Cashew Nuts, Crusted Pistachio

SEN RYO: JAPANESE DINING

Sen Ryo, which combines “Sen” (a thousand currency) and “Ryo” (refreshing or intelligent), is the recommended Japanese restaurant for an authentic dining experience with finely selected ingredients. Located on Level 2 of MITSUKOSHI BGC, it’s the perfect choice for a refined sit-down meal, whether for a romantic date, a special celebration, or a meeting with friends or business colleagues.

Shrimp Tempura Udon (₱620). Udon with Shrimp Tempura

Start with the udon, featuring a clean-tasting broth and plump, chewy noodles, topped with shrimp tempura. It’s a perfect way to satisfy your cravings for a hot soup that offers a crunchy texture without feeling too heavy.

Signature Night Set (₱1,100). 8 sets of nigiri

Enjoy a thoughtfully curated selection of nigiri topped with premium quality seafood, lightly dipped in soy sauce and wasabi. The salmon is always the first to go, followed by the tuna and the rest of the fish and seafood.

Pork Katsu Jyu (₱1,300). Premium Gozen with Pork Katsu served with Sen-ryo chawanmushi, rice, miso soup, assorted nigiri, fruit and tea.

Gozen meals are premium set options for dine-in, and the Pork Katsu Jyu is both substantial and satisfying. It comes complete with high-quality chawanmushi, miso soup, nigiri, and a fruit dessert. This set is perfect for sharing, providing enough for two to sample a variety of dishes and satisfy your Japanese cravings.
